Brian and I just got back from our whirlwind wedding weekend in Rhode Island to celebrate my dear friend Blair and her new husband, Mat! This is the first time all of the design gals have been together since we first met two and a half years ago, and we all were able to meet the husbands finally! When we all first met, Blair said we would be at her wedding one day...and here we are, a pandemic and a lot of text messages between!
We didn't have too much time to really explore the area, but it was a really fun experience to share with everyone, and we hope to come back and really explore in the future.
We do clean up pretty nice, huh? I loved seeing all of our guys in full black tie, too!
Blair is always full of energy, and boy does she know how to throw a party!
The day before the wedding, we had a Game Day Jamboree, with everyone in their Summer Whites. Have you heard of this? It was completely new to me, but SO much fun! We played volleyball, cricket, croquet, badminton, and more! Of course Brian immediately ended up with grass stains on his white clothes; I knew it would happen!
For the weekend, Blair's extended family stayed in the beautiful cottages and other properties that Blair and her family run in Rhode Island. Moore House Guest Stays are a collection of gorgeous properties across New England that members of her family used during her wedding weekend.
These properties are truly run as a family business - her mom runs the daily happenings of the properties, her dad is the contractor, she and her sister Bromley run design for the properties as well as individual clients, and her brother Corbin is currently in school for architecture! Talk about the whole package! Everything they do is so intentional, thought out, and perfectly executed.
They are all beautiful, hilarious, and such gracious people. It's hard not to love them, and that was so evident through the entire weekend. Everything they do is so intentional, well thought out and just stunning.
Since all the properties were full of close family + friends during the weekend, we now have a great reason to come back and experience one for ourselves soon!
These properties are truly a luxury guest house experience. Not only can you book these properties to stay, you can also add on experiences like chef's nights, where a local chef will "whip up a private dinner of coastal delicacies served on a beautifully detailed tablescape" for you and your guests.
They can even provide basket lunches for the beach, floral workshops, surprise celebrations, or mixology lessons! After experiencing all of the details of Blair and Mat's wedding, I can only imagine that these experiences are as well curated as the weekend was for all of us!
You can even rent a property for a smaller, more customized wedding ceremony or other celebration of your own! Have a look at each property in more detail here. I'm having a hard time choosing which one I'd want to rent!
The fun didn't last nearly long enough, but we will be back! Have any of you been to Rhode Island? Any recommendations to hit for sure when we go back?
